Well Tifa already covered paper mages, and there's a small start in the guides already, so I'll pick up where everyone else left off. There are other types of paper mages too but they're much rarer.
Paper ice mages can be good because in addition to slowing the enemy down, you can still do decent damage.
Paper light mages are very uncommon, but have several advantages. In pk, you can stun the enemy completely while hitting for some nice damage (light blade hits for 200+ dmg while keeping the enemy stunned).
Then there are half paper mages. These mages usually go up to either a mythic staff (around 110 int) or an elemental staff (around 125 int). While still hitting harder than a normal mage, these mages have a little more mana and can use level 2 or 3 armor, giving them more defense.
